The Sinew Channels
A two-day workshop exploring the most external of the channel systems — the pathways through which Wei Qi flows, defending the body, governing movement, and nourishing the fascia.

What you’ll learn
The Sinew Channels correspond closely with the connective tissue networks recognised in modern fascial therapy. Rather than treating the site of pain directly, we use movement to diagnose which Sinew is affected — each channel governs a specific range of motion. Once identified, classical treatment along the trajectory can restore the flow of Qi with remarkable speed and clarity.
Clinically, this work supports recovery from injuries, surgeries, fractures, and concussion. When Wei Qi flows freely again, tissues reorganise and integrity returns.
- Classical theory of the Sinew channels and their relationship with Wei Qi
- How to diagnose affected Sinews through movement assessment
- How to nourish and support Wei Qi
- Live case studies with the instructor
- Needling technique, Gua Sha, Tuina — hands-on practice on each other

About Ada Sobieszczuk
Ada holds a BSc (Hons) in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Middlesex University, London, and Beijing University of Pharmacology and TCM. Her fascination with fascia and the Sinews began during a Tuina internship at Beijing Massage Hospital, and has continued to deepen through training in neuromuscular therapy and myofascial bodywork.
Since completing the Sinews Masterclass with Ann Cecil-Sterman in 2017, Ada has worked exclusively with the classical Sinew channel methods for musculoskeletal conditions. She now relies solely on the Sinews to treat pain, stiffness, injuries, and post-surgical recovery — consistently struck by the clarity, speed, and effectiveness of the results. She looks forward to sharing that with you.
About the series
This weekend is the first in a four-part training series exploring the Complement Channels. Together they form a complete system — a coherent, comprehensive map for clinical work that means you’ll be equipped to treat every patient who walks through your door.
While individual weekends can be attended, it is strongly advised to take the series in full. Mixing these methods with other channel approaches can dilute the treatment and lead to confusion — you really do want all four.
