What you’ll learn

The Luo Channels are reservoirs that branch from each Primary channel, holding unexpressed emotions within the blood. When these reservoirs become full, they rise toward the surface — revealing themselves as visible lines, discolourations, spider veins, or nodules. As Huang Di says in Ling Shu, Chapter 10: “The channels that can be seen are all the Luo channels.”

Every Primary channel carries the capacity for a distinct range of human emotional experience. When that expression is blocked or distorted, the Luo holds it in reserve. Releasing the Luo point allows that emotional resilience to be restored — the innate expression of each organ returning to what was always written into the human design.

A significant part of the weekend is spent learning to see the Luo channels on the body. This is one of the most extraordinary aspects of this work: the patient walks in with the map already drawn on them, and you know exactly where to go.

  • The emotional and psychological landscape of each of the twelve Primary channels
  • Classical theory of the Luo point as an Antique point
  • Diagnosis through visible observation — reading the vessels on the body
  • Psychological and linguistic cues that reveal Luo involvement
  • Hands-on practice of Luo blood-releasing techniques
  • Live patient demonstrations with the instructor

Saturday focuses on theory and live demonstrations. Sunday includes further demonstration as needed, with the remainder of the day dedicated to guided practice on each other. By Monday you’ll return to clinic ready to apply this work with confidence.

About Ada Sobieszczuk

Ada holds a BSc (Hons) in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Middlesex University, London, and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Early in her training she was drawn to the Classical texts, and a formative encounter with Master Jeffrey Yuen showed her how complex Western medical thinking could be expressed through the elegant simplicity of that Classical lens.

The publication of Ann Cecil-Sterman’s Advanced Acupuncture: A Clinical Manual gave Ada the language and clinical framework to fully understand and apply these teachings. Integrating the Luo Channels transformed the way she works — allowing her to address any condition with an emotional component by recognising where blocks to human expression are held in the body. She is passionate about teaching this work and supporting practitioners to apply it confidently in clinic.

About the series

This weekend is the second in a four-part training series exploring the Complement Channels. Together they form a complete system — a coherent, comprehensive map for clinical work that means you’ll be equipped to treat every patient who walks through your door.

While individual weekends can be attended, it is strongly advised to take the series in full. Mixing these methods with other channel approaches can dilute the treatment and lead to confusion — you really do want all four.
